To bring to life the vital role blood donations play in people’s lives every day, we transformed a familiar transport map into a powerful storytelling device. Each execution charts a patient’s journey as a route line: diagnosis, treatment, recovery… not ending at a hospital outcome, but continuing into life beyond it. Different maps represent different journeys: trauma, cancer care, childbirth, chronic conditions.

Every route shares one essential station: ‘YOU ARE HERE’

The viewer isn’t observing the journey. They are part of it. Without them, the journey ends. BE A LIFELINE. NEXT STOP: GIVE BLOOD

Every year the NHS needs around 143,000 new donors to maintain the right mix of blood groups for patients now and in the future.

Our BE A LIFELINE platform can help. Using social media, existing donors invite friends and family to get on board — adding their name to an ever-growing, never-ending line. Each new donor becomes the next stop, extending the line a little further and keeping the service running smoothly.

If every donor just brought one more person with them, the line would never run out. And a request coming from someone you know will always have more impact than a mass call for donors.
